The challenge
Morocco Hive is a Marrakech-based private tour operator with a 4.8★ rating on Trustpilot and 200+ guided travellers. It sells fully private, local-guide-led journeys: an 8-day Family Grand South from $1,600, a 9-day Grand Morocco Desert Tour from $2,800, a 12-day tour from Casablanca from $3,700, plus honeymoon and imperial-cities itineraries. Their presence was scattered: tours on one platform, editorial content elsewhere, inquiries handled by email. They needed everything in one place, and it had to feel as considered as the journeys themselves. The brief was a full travel platform: curated multi-day itineraries, destination guides, named local-guide profiles, cultural content, and a booking inquiry flow, all optimised for international visitors arriving via search.
What we built
We designed and engineered the platform from scratch in Next.js, with a custom admin dashboard so the team can manage tours and editorial content without touching code. The architecture favours performance (static generation for content pages, server-side rendering for dynamic listings), giving strong Core Web Vitals out of the box. It includes a tour catalogue with rich filtering, destination guides with long-form editorial content, named local-guide bios, guest reviews with photos, and payment by card, PayPal or bank transfer with a 50% deposit and the balance due 30 days before arrival. A WhatsApp inquiry path and English, French and Dutch versions serve the operator's European client base, and full SEO infrastructure was in place from day one.
